"Illuminate" is a VR puzzle game with light narrative elements. The player takes on the role of an autistic child who visualizes the story being told to her and must solve little puzzles in order to progress on the story.
The core concept of this game is to create an engaging experience to respectfully represent an autistic thought process. The team has consulted with different professionals working with autistic people to create the intended gameplay experience. This game was part of our Year 2 major production unit for AIE where we only had 12 weeks for the entire project.

For this project I was primarily the project manager. I was particularly in charge of managing the artists to make sure the art conveys the right message as well as look the best it can. Additionally I took part in the background research of autism to provide the experience we set out as our goal.
